I have started a new advice column for you to ask questions about things that may trouble you; and how to deal with stress, anxiety, and stress related problems in your life.

Your life is a reflection of your belief, usually subconsciously. These beliefs are the cumulative effect of lifelong programming. We sometimes think and behave in self-defeating ways as a result of past negative programming. These negative programming can cause physical illness.

So by asking for advice may help in realizing these believes and how to deal with them in a positive way.

Worried About My Son

Dear DrDJ,

I was reading in your advice column about Worried About My Son.  Do you think maybe this piano teacher is bipolar?

According to one psychiatric journal:

People with bipolar disorder experiencing hypersexuality may:
  • Have multiple sex partners
  • Think about sex constantly
  • Have one-night stands
  • Be more interested in pornography
  • Notice a difference in their sexual behaviors
  • Engage in other reckless behaviors like driving too fast or gambling

Could be bipolar but that is no excuse for what this piano teacher has done and chances are, this piano teacher is still doing the same thing because she thinks she can get away with it. I still suggest that the mother of this child go to authorities.
